Your child’s safety and well-being is always our top priority at Jacobsen Pediatric Dentistry.
Depending on the age, medical history, and treatment needs of your child, Dr. Matt may recommend that treatment be carried out in a hospital setting rather than in the office. This is much like a child going to have tubes placed in their ears or tonsils removed. We work with the wonderful pediatric anesthesiology group at Primary Childrens and the treatment is completed under general anesthesia within the hospital.
Dr. Matt is well trained and has extensive experience working with young children, individuals with extensive medical histories, and children with special healthcare needs. He will only recommend that treatment be done at the hospital if it is absolutely necessary and will always provide parents with all possible options. When needed he works very closely with your child’s pediatrician, primary care provider, and other specialists to make sure all necessary precautions are taken.
We encourage parents to ask any questions and address any concerns that they have about their child’s treatment and the setting in which it will be completed as we strive for every parent to feel comfortable with the care their children are receiving.
